AI Build Night · Birmingham · Date TBC · by application
Invitation only · by application

We take one business's worst admin job and build it live, in 40 minutes.

For people who actually run something. A room of owners and directors, one real job automated live on stage — and the business it belongs to keeps it. Seats are by application, and we do turn people down.

APPLY

Apply for a seat

Two steps, about a minute. We reply either way within 48 hours — if you're in, the venue and payment link follow once the booking is confirmed.

1 — You
2 — Your business
3 — The job OPTIONAL

Skip it and your application still stands. Fill it in and you're in the running to be the business we build for on the night.

Please fill in the highlighted fields.

By applying you agree we can contact you about the event. We film the night — the screens and the room; tell us on the door if you'd rather sit out of shot. AUTOM8 Ltd keeps applications for 12 months, never sells or shares them, and will delete yours on request — hello@autom8ltd.com.

Application received

We read every one. You'll hear back within 48 hours either way. Accepted applicants get the date, the venue, the ticket price and a payment link as soon as the booking is confirmed — and you can still say no then.

Anything urgent: hello@autom8ltd.com

THE NIGHT

How the night runs

No panel. No slides about what AI is. One build, done properly, then a room worth being in. This is the running order, not a timetable — clock times come with the venue.

01
Doors, food, badgesEveryone writes one line on their badge: the job you'd pay to never do again. It is the entire icebreaker.
02
Short pauseA signposted break for Maghrib. Exact time confirmed nearer the date.
03
Twelve minutes of receipts18 products in 106 days, one person. Shown as working software, not screenshots.
04
The live build — 40 minutesA real job, from a real business in the room, built end to end while you watch. It is genuinely live. It can wobble.
05
The offer — 90 secondsOne slide. Then we stop selling for the rest of the night.
06
Structured networking, then open floorTwo timed rounds so nobody stands in a corner, then drift.
THE ROOM

Who gets a seat

This is a business room. Keeping it that way is the whole point — it is why there's a ticket at all, and why we read every application.

Yes

  • You own, run or direct a UK business.
  • You have a repeating job that eats real hours every week.
  • You can name it in one line, and you're happy to wear it on a badge.
  • You'd rather see a thing get built than hear someone describe building it.

No

  • ×Students, job hunters, and anyone here to network for work.
  • ×Agencies, consultants or software vendors coming to sell to the room.
  • ×Plus-ones who aren't in a business — every seat is named.
  • ×Anyone who wants a general talk about AI. There isn't one.

One of the applications becomes the build. Only the first two steps are needed to apply — but if you'd like the build to be yours, fill in step three, because that is what we shortlist on.

GOOD TO KNOW

The practical bits

Why there's a ticket

It covers the food, and it means the people who said they'd come, come. Price is TBC, and nothing is charged unless we accept you.

Food and drink

Food is included in the ticket and there's no alcohol. What's actually served depends on the venue — TBC.

A signposted pause

There'll be a short break for Maghrib before the main content. Exact time confirmed nearer the date.

It really is live

The build happens in front of you with no safety net rehearsed on your problem. That's the point, and occasionally it's the risk.
